How are we affected by social changes in Latin America?
June 2, 2019 | 2.30pm – 4.30pm | Hotel Parco
Between the turmoil in Venezuela and the rise of populism in Brazil, today Latin America is one of the most unstable regions on the planet, shaken by political tensions, humanitarian crisis, scandals and illegal trafficking.
What can European journalists learn from South-American colleagues, and vice-versa? How can journalists investigate in similar conditions? This session will present an in-depth picture of the situation of this ever-evolving journalistic laboratory.
The topic will be discussed by sharing the experiences of Luis Adorno (journalist, UOL Noticias), Ewald Scharfenberg (co-editor, Armando.info), Nathan Jaccard (Latin America editor, OCCRP), Claudio Cordova (Il Dispaccio), and Giulio Rubino (IRPI).
