Synopsis: “Navalny”
Navalny, directed by Daniel Roher with the thrilling pace of a thriller, follows Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in his investigation – made with the collective Bellingcat – to identify the men who poisoned him in August 2020. Filmed in Germany in the midst of the events he recounts, Navalny is a stunning documentary and also a thoughtful analysis of the man Navalny, a leader intent on reforming his country, Russia, and who will stop at nothing, including his attempted murder. The film won the Audience Award and the Festival Favourite Award at the Sundance Film Festival 2022.
