Where can DIG Pitch take you? David Redman and Francesco Galavotti, director and producer of Kim’s video, a film awarded the DIG Pitch 2021, will share their journey during this year’s pitching session. After participating in the DIG Festival two years ago, their documentary was chosen as the opening film at Sundance in 2023, presented at Tribeca in 2023 and is in competition at the next Rome Film Festival.

The film tells the incredible story of 55,000 VHS from Kim’s Video in NYC that somehow ended up in Salemi, Sicily, only to be forgotten in a closet. As well as telling the bizarre story of the videotapes, the film is also a celebration of cinema per se and some of its most off-beat genres. David Redman and Francesco Galavotti will join us via video to inspire the Pitch 2023 participants, the international jury and the DIG audience.
