1. INVESTIGATING THE KILLINGS OF CHILDREN IN GAZA
PRODUCTION: BBC World Service
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United Kingdom
PRODUCTION COUTRY: Palestine
DATE: 2026
LENGTH: 14’
DIRECTED BY: Stephanie Hegarty
A BBC World Service investigation into the killing of children in Gaza, covering cases from the first weeks of the war through July 2025. The short film reconstructs the stories of Layan al-Majdalawi, two, and Mira Tanboura, six, both killed in separate incidents in November 2023 in areas where Israeli forces were operating. The BBC examined more than 160 cases of children shot in Gaza, finding that in 95 cases, the children, most of them under the age of 12, were shot in the head or chest. With foreign journalists barred from entering Gaza, the investigation pieces together evidence to shed light on the circumstances surrounding these deaths.
2. SAINTE-SOLINE : WHO SHOT ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST SERGE DUTEUIL-GRAZIANI?
PRODUCTION: Libération, Mediapart
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: France
PRODUCTION COUTRY: France
DATE: 2026
LENGTH: 13’
DIRECTED BY: Ismaël Halissat, Antoine Schirer, Laura Wojcik, Camille Polloni
On March 25, 2023, environmental activist Serge Duteuil-Graziani was seriously injured during a protest against a giant water reservoir in Sainte-Soline, France. While the justice system has closed the investigation into the shooting without any charges being filed, Libération and Mediapart spent three months analysing 150 hours of video footage to trace the tear gas grenade that hit him. By cross-referencing images, sound recordings and other evidence, the investigation identifies the source of the shot: an armoured gendarmerie vehicle.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United Kingdom
PRODUCTION COUTRY: Iran
DATE: 2026
LENGTH: 11’
DIRECTED BY: Job Rabklin
A BBC Eye investigation into the impact of the US-Israel war with Iran on civilians in Tehran. The film focuses on two airstrikes on targets in the Iranian capital that caused significant civilian casualties. Through on-the-ground interviews, exclusive footage and forensic analysis of open-source material, the investigation reconstructs the events and documents the human cost of the attacks on ordinary Iranians.
4. THE GOLANI BRIGADE, FROM LEBANON TO GAZA
PRODUCTION: Le Monde
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: France
PRODUCTION COUTRY: Israel
DATE: 2026
LENGTH: 20’
DIRECTED BY: Alexandre Horn
The Golani Brigade is the oldest infantry unit in the Israeli army. As the unit that suffered the heaviest casualties during the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack, it was subsequently deployed to Gaza and Syria, among other locations, and has now been redeployed to Lebanon. It has been accused of some of the Israeli army's most serious war crimes, such as the killing of paramedics in Rafah. Using verified footage, exclusive testimonies, and expert interviews, Le Monde retraces the path of this renowned and popular unit, which is always and everywhere on the front lines of Israel's wars.
