Micah P. Hinson & Band. Live in the Church

Domenica sera 22 settembre, a chiusura di #DIG2024, a salire sul palco della chiesa barocca modenese di San Carlo sarà il cantautore texano Micah P. Hinson, a cult name in the folk and alternative country-rock scene across the Atlantic, to fill with the sacredness of his music a venue with the sacredness of his music.

Inspired by artists such as Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr and The Cure, Hinson started recording his first demos, which immediately attracted the interest of many labels. He released his debut album “Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress” in 2004, followed by “The Baby and the Satellite” in 2005. In 2008, Hinson signed to Full Time Hobby and released “Micah P. Hinson and the Red Empire Orchestra”.

Micah P. Hinson's latest album, I Lie To You, The album, released in December 2022 by Ponderosa Music Records, is the result of five days and five nights of recording in a bare-bones room in Irpinia and a crystal-polishing production job by Alessandro Asso Stefana (Pj Harvey, Mike Patton, Vinicio Capossela). Backing them up are the celestial strings of Raffaele Tiseo, the metaphysical drums of Zeno De Rossi and that gentleman of the double bass who is Greg Cohen.
