French Algeria, 1953. Young psychiatrist Frantz Fanon, originally from Martinique, takes over as head of the Blida-Joinville psychiatric hospital. The film retraces his experience as a doctor, writer, and anticolonial activist. In a context marked by French colonialism and discriminatory practices, his innovative approach to psychiatry clashed with the repressive methods of the establishment. His commitment gradually led him to take a stand against the very system he served, becoming a key voice in the struggle for Algerian independence.
