Six-legged culture. How and why Eni finances the cultural world in Italy

We know a lot about Italy's largest and most influential energy company, and its manoeuvres to confirm its leadership in the fossil fuel sector in its 70-year history. Little, however, is known about the ways in which Eni supports Italian cultural realities. Along with its best-known sponsorships (above all, Sanremo), the company intervenes more or less directly in the territories in which it operates to offer other narratives and silence critical voices.
