Inaugural evening of DIG 2024: "J'accuse". Lectio by Francesca Albanese (UN rapporteur) and Christian Elia (journalist)

Officially opening the tenth edition of DIG Festival will be Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur to the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and freelance journalist and Middle East expert Christian Elia, who have chosen the phrase 'J'accuse' as the title for their book. The dialogue between Elia and Albanese began before the attacks of 7 October 2023 to convey the urgent need to end an occupation that even before that date could no longer be ignored. In the lectio, Albanese and Elia will talk about what is happening in the occupied territories of Palestine, the role of journalism in situations of occupation and war, and pay tribute to the memory of journalists who have been killed while reporting on what is happening in Palestine.
