Story of my life. Thirty years of homelessness in Italy

DESCRIPTION

Janek Gorczyca has been living in Rome for more than 30 years, homeless and without a steady job. Born in Poland in 1962, he lived through the late Soviet era and soon started working in power plants in Poland and nuclear power plants in Russia. After New Year's Eve 1992, Gorczyca took a scholarship. He goes to Gdansk, then Hamburg, and finally lands in Rome, where he lives for a long time as a homeless person. In this encounter, Janek Gorczyca will dialogue with Christian Raimo. The two have known each other for twenty years, but theirs is more than a personal story: it is the tale of what it means to be homeless in Italy, of what it means to be a migrant, of what it means to seek a solution for a marginality that is increasingly widespread and to all intents and purposes inscribed in an increasingly cynical and unequal country.
