Visualizing desertification: how journalists and photojournalists can document the climate crisis
DESCRIPTION
This workshop, focused on desertification—one of the most urgent consequences of the climate crisis in Europe and worldwide—aims to foster collaboration between investigative journalists and photojournalists.
Through a range of participatory activities, we will explore ways to develop stories that are both more effective and visually engaging, while also creating opportunities to connect with other professionals in the field and lay the groundwork for future collaborations. The workshop will be led by Bruna Cases, photojournalist at RUIDO Photo, and Cush Rodríguez Moz, journalist at Revista LATE. Both specialize in international coverage of social and environmental issues. Participation will be limited to 5 investigative journalists and 5 photojournalists. The workshop will be conducted in Italian. If you are interested in joining, you can apply through this form. Applications will remain open until Monday, September 15 at 11:59 pm (CET). Selected participants will be contacted by email on Thursday, September 18.
