
On January 15, 2004, the Bugaled Breizh, a trawler from Brittany, sank suddenly in the English Channel and the five sailors of its crew disappeared at sea. The courts closed the case: it was a simple fishing accident.
Almost twenty years after the tragedy, journalists Adèle Humbert and Emilie Denètre reopen the case and point out the inconsistencies of an expert report that was essential in the case and on which the judges based their decision to dismiss the case.
Neither the families, nor the professionals of the sea can believe in the thesis of the accident. So what could have caused the sinking of a ship as robust as the Bugaled Breizh?
