There’s a concrete yard with piles of plastic, and lying on the ground is the body of a boy, grotesquely ripped apart. Who was he? And what really happened to him? A team of award-winning investigative journalists sets out to find the answers in this three-part investigation exposing the abuse of refugee workers in Turkish recycling plants that process British waste. Freelance journalist Adnan Khan identifies the boy as a young Afghan refugee, Arifullah Fazli, who died after falling into machinery. His death leads to a wider investigation into the exploitation and deaths of more than 200 migrant workers over the past decade.
