On 7 October 2023, Hamas militants launched a simultaneous attack in Israel against at least 13 targets, crossing the border at several points and advancing towards Israeli military bases and some residential areas. In this investigation, Le Monde collected and analysed dozens of videos of the group's attack, from footage recorded by surveillance cameras to propaganda images disseminated by Hamas. The documents provide information on the plan of the 7 October attack, how it was carried out, and the shortcomings of Israeli security and intelligence systems. The documentary offers a comprehensive historical documentation of the events of a historically crucial day.
