This investigation reveals how the Chinese government is building a multi-billion dollar industry, the harvesting and production of seafood, by extensively using North Korean forced labour, despite a UN ban on the use of such labour. The Outlaw Ocean project interviewed seafood workers in North Korea and China and collected footage of the factories where they worked. What the investigation revealed was chilling: women held captive in processing plants in China, sent there by the North Korean government, only to face rampant violence, theft and sexual abuse.
