Filmed over two years in 11 states, this film examines the increasingly disturbing realities of the rapid militarization of police forces in the United States. An account of the increasing use of military weapons and tactics by local law enforcement in the United States, counterpointed with civil unrest in Ferguson, Missouri following the shooting of Michael Brown in 2014.

This documentary is part of “DIG: Lockdown Tapes”, a playlist of journalistic documentaries featuring the best projects awarded by DIG Awards in the past years.
