An innovative collaboration between Revue Dessinée Italy and DIG Festival brings to Modena for the first time «Neverending Stories», one call for ideas aimed at female journalists eager to venture into the world of graphic journalism, of which «La Revue» represents international excellence.
The call, which launches today, seeks stories without an expiry date, more powerful and effective than mere “news” and all the noise that accompanies the daily controversy or fact of the day.
Participation is open to ideas for unpublished investigations and journalistic reports that address key contemporary dynamics and that are set, at least partially, in Italy.
In the collaboration with DIG, special attention will be paid to projects with an investigative editorial slant, but not only: stories capable of bringing out new elements in relation to the subject matter, together with the use of original sources and investigative techniques, will emerge.
Participation is free of charge, and to do so, simply submit your idea via the Google Form available at this link.
Le five proposals deemed most interesting will have the opportunity to present their idea live Friday 20 September 2024 in Modena, competing in a pitch-style session in front of a jury of excellence selected by the Revue, which will then meet to announce the winning project.
La winning story will be developed together with the Revue editorial team, which will assign an illustrator and publish it in an issue starting in September 2025.
But there will also be small prizes and surprises for the other finalists.
As announced, the call for ideas «Neverending Stories» is open until 8 September and is addressed to all female journalists living on Italian territory, without any age or origin limit.
Registration is not required, but experience in the reportage, in the documentary can be in the investigation. The finalist projects will be announced on 12 September.
