DIG Festival 2022: “Stay Gold”: 4 days, more than 90 speakers and 70 events, 25 films and 5 podcasts in competition, special screenings and film premieres. The largest and most international DIG ever, in Modena September 22th-25th. The full festival program is now available here.
Notable guests at the eighth edition of DIG include Sergei Loznitsa, Avi Mograbi, Bellingcat, Mads Brügger, Gabriella Giandelli, Forensic Architecture, Sally Hayden, Sarah Jaffe, Francesca Mannocchi, Paolo Nori.
Maria Nadotti will open the Festival with her lectio “Nightmares of Peace,” proposing themes and reflections that will be taken up during the four days.

As every year, DIG will also give its Awards for Investigative Audio and Video Journalism. Learn about this edition’s finalists and the international jury, led by the master of undercover journalism Mads Brügger.
The DIG Awards will be presented during an awards ceremony on Saturday evening at Chiesa di San Carlo. On Friday night, C’mon Tigre, in the same venue, will bring their exclusive concert “Gold Scenario”, opened by Canadian songwriter Scott Hamilton.
The four-day festival will touch on key issues of contemporary society with a series of panels and talks, such as migration, surveillance, climate emergency, labor and exploitation, and assault on journalism and its freedoms.
Also, ample space on undercover journalism, limits to press freedom even in Italy, journalistic coverage of conflicts through open source investigations and from the frontline, and podcasts and the increasingly beloved audio journalism.
Also scheduled are 12 workshops open to all and dedicated to the challenges of contemporary journalism.
All DIG Festival 2022 events are free of charge, excluding film screenings and the concert.
