Dan Ashby is an environmental investigative journalist, director and broadcaster. He specialises in bringing high-impact investigations to large audiences by weaving them with plot-twisting narratives. He and his partner, Lucy Taylor, co-produce 'Buried' for BBC Sounds, which has won global awards and led to official investigations, legal action and a community-led inquiry. Dan has also directed short films, and is an executive producer on an upcoming TV series. He and Lucy spent five years living in East Africa, and then Russia, where they investigated ivory gangs, dynamite fishing, climate corruption and worse. He is always on the lookout for new ideas, stories, leads and potential collaborative partners, be they big or small. He believes all good meetings begin with coffee, beer or blue cheese.
