Francesca Mannocchi is an award-winning freelance journalist. She collaborates with Italian and international television stations and newspapers. In recent years she has covered wars of the migration crisis in Syria, Tunisia, Iraq, Palestine, Libya, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Yemen and Afghanistan. In 2016 she co-directed the documentary If I Close My Eyes, dedicated to Syrian refugees in Lebanon, presented at the Rome Film Festival. In 2018, the documentary Isis, tomorrow, focusing on the stories of the children of Isis militants in Mosul, was presented at the 75th Venice Film Festival. Francesca has written four books.
