Gabriele Del Grande has worked for more than ten years as a reporter on migration between Africa and Europe. In 2006, he created the first observatory on border victims, Fortress Europe. Since then he has conducted research in some thirty countries between the two shores of the Mediterranean and the Sahel, producing numerous reportages for the Italian and international press. He was the creator and co-director of the film I am with the bride (2014) and author of several books, also translated into Spanish and German. For Mondadori he has published The Mobile Century. History of illegal immigration in Europe (2023) e Dawla. The story of the Islamic State as told by its defectors (2018).
