Joe Sinclair is deputy head of video at the Financial Times. He works as executive producer across all the newspaper’s documentaries, with a strong focus on character and storytelling. He also produces, films, and edits his own documentaries, which have taken him from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. In his latest film, he investigated the growing number of cases of Russian soldiers executing Ukrainian POWs, helping to unmask a hooded executioner. He began his career at the Press Association—the “coalface” of UK journalism—before joining the Asia-Pacific newsdesk at Agence France-Presse in Hong Kong. He has been with the FT for eight years.
