Robert Morin is a Quebec filmmaker, screenwriter, actor and cinematographer. In 1977, together with some friends, Robert Morin founded Coop Vidéo. Morin made his name in 1992 with the crime film Requiem pour un beau sans-coeur. He has relied on the talent of committed actors such as Gildor Roy and Brigitte Paquette to tackle his experimental and uncompromising narrative approach. He is one of the founders of PRIM vidéo, set up after the dissolution of Montreal's Véhicule Art centre for artists.
