SYNCTRL is an Italian collective composed of sound artists Maru Barucco and Biagio Cavallo, visual artists Chiara Vitofrancesco and Andrea Boschini, and light designer Gianluca Lovreglio. Their research lies between sound, visual arts and algorithmic performance, combining real-time systems such as Max/MSP, TouchDesigner and OSC/MIDI protocols with dramaturgical structures. Through glitches, reactive lighting and performative constraints, they investigate the themes of surveillance, automation and control, turning error into a political gesture. TRAP_OS, is their second project after debuting with the audiovisual collision performance synchromatriX.
